Tender Loving Care (TLC) works for a world where children, young people and adults are able to access the services they need to reach their goals.
In Australia, at least 1 in 5 people have a disability.
“A disability is any condition that restricts a person’s mental, sensory or mobility functions. It may be caused by accident, trauma, genetics or disease. A disability may be temporary or permanent, total or partial, lifelong or acquired, visible or invisible”.
- (Australian Network of Disability)
Why are disability services important?
According to the Australia Bureau of Statistics, the life expectancy of Australians born with Down Syndrome has more than tripled in the four decades to 2002, increasing from 18 years to 60 years. We believe this has been possible due to the changes in the attitudes towards Down Syndrome as well as the increase accessibility of disability services.
TLC helps pave the path for all individuals to achieve their goals. Although we have fought a long way for disability rights, challenges, negative behaviour and physical barriers still exist and restrict people with disabilities to access their potential.
TLC and the Community
TLC is a registered provider with the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS). We are committed to provide people who have disabilities with reasonable, individualised support services to facilitate access and the successful achievement of their life goals.
We encompass a personalised approach with our clients which always begins with effective communication. Our response is shaped to focus on the client wants and needs.
“But when I went deeply with their services I realized that they make my dream come true, they are honest, fast, passionate. Their first priority is the patient”
